War Room

There is to be no fighting in the war room.

War Base

Your war base should be set up to minimize the chance of an enemy getting 3 stars. Usually this means securing your town hall and weapons, sacrificing resources and storage. You can copy your war base to one of your peace base plots so that you can test it in regular combat and get it reviewed by others in the clan. There are a number of videos and wiki articles that can help you with base design.

War Strategy

You will have two attacks.

The first attack should be a scouting attack against the same number as you. This will reveal the location of traps, bombs, and identify the types of reinforcements. Hopefully you will achieve at least one star on this attack, maybe even two stars, you are not really expected to get three stars on the first attack. The war coordinator will designate who will be making initial scouting attacks, some advanced players who are warriors will not perform scouting attacks so it is very important that all low end players attack promptly so that the warriors have time to review the replays and plan their final attacks.

The order of battle for the second attack is for the lowest players to go first, reviewing the replay from the scouting, consulting with the war coordinator and assigned elders regarding most effective troops and tactics and point of attack to avoid traps. On this attack you will be expected to achieve 2 or three stars.

The war coordinator may request that you perform a suicide scouting trip on a high level target to reveal traps and troop strength. Be assured that your sacrifice in this war will results in rewards in the next.

The more advanced players may reserve their attacks until such time as they determine the outcome of the weaker half of the clan army so that they can deploy their attacks in the most effective way to either maximize score to guarantee a win or to maximize loot.

War Tactics

The most difficult thing for most players in war is that they have received advanced clan troops but they do not know how to use them. In daily combat you may have one of three goals. You may be sniping for resources, or you may be going for trophies, or third would be practicing for war. If you are practicing for war request specific troops and declare that you are practicing combat so the the provider can assist you with tactics. If you are just sniping for resources, please donate as many low level troops as possible to each other as those clan troops get promoted, be sure to request low level troops when sniping for resources. If you get something high end, please use it to practice your combat skills. Always request clan troops and always upgrade your clan castle to the max.
